ZACHARY JACOBS
Now a recent alumni of UNC Pembroke, Zachary Jacob's style is one that is not only unique but also voices their values and purpose.
From Fairmont, North Carolina, Jacobs' recent style consists of a mix of streetwear and activism. He pulls most of inspiration from model, artist and activist @the_yvesdropper, who also puts streetwear and activism, especially trans-activism pieces together.
If they don't check out @the_yvesdropper Instagram, when putting together an outfit, Jacobs usually resorts to Pinterest.
"I go off of color and I love black. It's either a bad or a pair of earrings that matches the shoes or the shirt. If I'm wearing all black, I'm just going to wear a pair of black earrings or if there's red or any other color on my shirt, I'll put it in either my shoes, a bag or earrings."
One color Jacobs stays away from is pink. "I like light pink, but hot pink is not me."
When it comes to filling his wardrobe, a mixture of online shopping, stores like ASOS, and thrifting is Jacobs go- to. "I usually don't try to buy stuff new. If I see a person and I like their outfit, I'll screenshot, do a Google image search and decided where I'm going to make my purchase based off that."
A man of many talents, you can oftentimes see him rocking his own handmade, traditional earrings, but accessorizing with his outfits is still something he's working on, "I'm still trying to play with accessories like rings and necklaces, but I love bags! That's my biggest accessory.
Big on activism, Jacobs would take to the streets to protest various causes, but as he entered the professional world, he decided to use his voice through his clothes.
It was during their senior year of college that Jacob's really began to take their appearance more seriously. "COVID-19 restrictions were lifting and we were going out more. Before COVID-19 hit, I was in college and still wasn't taking my appearance too seriously, but going out more made me take it more seriously. I used to wear skinny jeans all the time, I was that person."
I like this outfit to it not to flashy and not to plain, it hits that middle mark. I also like that he paired it with the vans to accompany the shirt.
ReplyDeleteI don't have much of an eye for fashion, but it's certainly respectable just how much thought some people put into their apparel.
